Tilak Varma Included In The Asia Cup Team: Everyone was eagerly waiting for the announcement of the Indian team for the Asia Cup. Team India’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar finally announced the team on August 21, in which the entry of left-handed young batsman Tilak Verma has been seen in the team. He has also been included in the 17-member squad selected for the Asia Cup. Tilak had performed brilliantly in the recently concluded T20 series against the West Indies.
Tilak Verma was able to score more than 150 runs while performing brilliantly with the bat in the 5-match T20 series against the West Indies. After seeing the performance of 20-year-old Tilak, the discussion started about including him in the Asia Cup team. Now he has been included in the 17-member squad announced for the Asia Cup.
If we look at Tilak Verma’s record in List-A cricket, he has scored 1236 runs in 25 matches at an average of 56.18. During this, 5 centuries and 5 half-century innings have also been seen with his bat. Till now Tilak’s great performance in domestic cricket has been seen in 50 over format. Apart from this, he also gives the team the option of spin bowling, a glimpse of which was seen in the last T20 match against the West Indies.
