YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has organized a special program on Wednesday (September 25, 2024). His move is regarding the allegations of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of adulteration in the prasad of Tirumala Tirupati temple. Jagan Mohan Reddy has called upon the people to participate in worship in the temples of Andhra Pradesh on September 28. He said that people should participate in worship in the temples so that the sin committed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu by making allegations on Tirupati laddus can be atoned for.
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s appeal comes at a time when just a few days ago, Chandrababu Naidu had alleged in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Legislature Party meeting that the previous YSRCP government did not even spare the Sri Venkateswara Temple and used substandard material and animal fat to make laddus. These allegations gave rise to a massive controversy across the country.
Former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy said in a post on social media platform X, ‘To wash away this sin committed by Chandrababu, YSRCP is calling for statewide rituals in temples on Saturday, September 28.’
According to Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu alleged that animal fat was mixed in the ghee used to make laddu prasadam at the Tirupati temple for political purposes. He said that though there was no adulteration of animal fat, he deliberately lied that it had happened and spread false propaganda that devotees had eaten them. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has begun an 11-day penance to appease the deity over the alleged desecration.
FSSAI has issued a show cause notice to a Tamil Nadu-based company for allegedly supplying substandard ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). In the notice on Monday, the food regulator asked AR Dairy Food Private Limited why its central license should not be suspended for violating the provisions of Food Safety and Standards Regulations 2011.
According to the notice, FSSAI said that it had received information from the Director of the Institute of Preventive Medicine, Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh) that Dindigul-based AR Dairy Food Private Limited had been supplying ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) for the last four years.
