Lakheshwar Yadav/ Janjgir Champa:- A strange case has come to light in Janjgir Champa district today. Actually, a live fish entered the mouth of a child in Karumhu village under Akaltara development block of the district. You will be surprised to hear this, but it is true. When a 14 year old boy went to the pond to take bath and as soon as he took a dip in the pond, a fish went into the child’s mouth.
In a village of Janjgir, 14 year old boy Sameer God had gone from his house to take bath in the village pond. Before taking bath, Sameer along with his friends caught fish with Gari (fishing stick) and then took bath in the pond. While Sameer was taking a dip in the water while bathing, a fish from the pond water went into Sameer’s mouth and got stuck in his throat. After which Sameer started panicking and gesturing to everyone around him, told that a fish had gone into his mouth.

After this incident, other people of the village immediately informed Sameer’s family. In the same village itself, an attempt was made by the local villagers to remove the fish from the child’s mouth. But all efforts failed and due to deteriorating health of the child, the family members brought him to the nearby Community Health Center, Akaltara, through an ambulance. Here the team of doctors also tried to remove the fish stuck in the mouth of boy Sameer, but did not succeed. Blood started coming out of the child’s mouth and there was problem in breathing. Due to which even the doctors got scared and were immediately referred to SIMS Hospital in Bilaspur. The child was sent to SIMS Hospital in Bilaspur by ambulance along with his family members.
