Tractor: Why is the rear tyre of a tractor bigger? What will happen if it is put in the front?

Tractors are used the most in Indian farming. India is an agricultural country, about 70 percent of the population here is still dependent on farming. Farmers do many important tasks easily through tractors. But have you noticed that the front tire of the tractor is small while the rear tire is big. Do you know the reason behind this? Today we will tell you the main reason behind this.

Tractor

Apart from farming, tractors are used in many other places as well. You must have seen around you that tractors are used the most. Tractors are used in most places, from farming to delivering goods through trolleys. But do you know that the purpose of the front and rear tires of the tractor is different. This includes many things like tractor handling, its grip, balance, oil consumption. The design of the tractor is done keeping all these things in mind.

Tractor’s front tyre is small

Let us tell you that the front tyre of the tractor is always smaller than the rear tyre. The direction of the tractor is decided by the small front tyre, because it is directly connected to the steering. You must have noticed that it rotates only when the steering is rotated. However, one of its advantages is that due to small tyres, it becomes easy to rotate it. In simple language, understand that it can be rotated even if there is less space on the turn. For this, not much space is required in the front. Apart from this, due to small tyres, there is less weight on the engine. In such a situation, oil consumption is also less.

Tyrs are big

The tractor easily performs its work in more mud or soil than a car or bike. Due to less traction, the car or bike gets stuck in the mud. But due to the bigger rear tyres, the tractor can easily move. By installing bigger tyres at the rear of the tractor, the tyre does not sink in the mud and maintains a good grip. Apart from this, the engine of the tractor is in the front, so it is necessary to install bigger wheels at the back to keep the weight balanced. Apart from this, another main reason is that both the big tyres do not allow the tractor to rise from the front while pulling the load.
