Trai issued new rule for computer generated calls do not repeat these mistakes

Important decisions are taken by TRAI from time to time to improve the telecom experience. The government agency has once again taken a new decision. Actually, the decision has been taken on promotional calls keeping in mind the safety of the users. If you are also troubled by promotional calls, then you must know about this new instruction of TRAI.

Access providers received these instructions

In fact, TRAI on Tuesday asked all access providers to stop promotional calls with immediate effect. Whether these calls are pre-recorded or computer generated, instructions have been given to stop them. This decision has been taken regarding calls made by unregistered telemarketers (UTMs). Spam calls have also been included in this.

What did the telecom regulator say in its statement?

The telecom regulator said in its statement, “All promotional voice calls from registered senders/unregistered telemarketers should be stopped immediately. Calling using SIP/PRI/any other telecom resource should be banned. This is because it causes a lot of annoyance to the users.”

Action will be taken on such numbers from September 1

Let us tell you that if any unregistered sender/UTM is found misusing its telecom resources, then access providers have also been asked to take immediate action. Also, such action can be taken in case of violation of company rules. This is not the first time that TRAI has asked companies to take such a decision. Even before this, TRAI has taken a decision to impose restrictions on spam calls. Action against such numbers is also going to start from September 1.
