TRAI New Instructions caller name will be visible along with caller contact number

TRAI New Instructions: Now when people receive a call from an unknown number, they will not need any app to know who has called. The name of the person who has called will be visible on the mobile screen, with the help of which you will be able to know who has called you. Telecom companies will activate the calling name presentation service across the country from July 15. Earlier, a trial of the calling name presentation service was also done in Mumbai and Haryana, which was successful. With this service, people will be able to protect themselves from fraud calls, spam and cheating. Because most cyber crimes start with calls.

How calling name presentation will work

When you receive a call, the caller will see the same name that he would have filled in the KYC form while buying the SIM. To check whether the calling name presentation service is working properly or not, it was trialed in small circles in Mumbai and Haryana. The trial yielded positive results. This result was also shared with the Department of Telecommunications. Apart from this, the government and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) are keeping an eye on the proper implementation of this service. After the activation of this service, cyber crime can also be prevented to some extent.

Now you will not have to use third party app

After telecom companies activate calling name presentation across the country, people will not have to use third party apps like Truecaller. Apps like Truecaller show the name of the person whose call is coming to you when you receive an unknown call. But in exchange for using these apps, these apps ask for a lot of access from you. After giving access, these apps get access to your saved contacts, messages and photos. After the calling name presentation service comes, people will get rid of all these.
