The railway track has collapsed due to rain on the Jamalpur-Kiul railway section in Munger. Due to this, train movement has been disrupted from both sides. At the same time, this incident near the porter signal of Dharhara station has created panic among the railway officials. Railway officials from Jamalpur have left for the spot for investigation.
According to the information, construction work for the bridge was going on at the place where the accident happened. The DMU passenger train going from Jamalpur to Kiul was standing at the same place. The railway passengers walked on foot and left for the next station by road. However, after this incident, the railway allowed the DMU passenger train going from Kiul station to Jamalpur Junction to cross slowly. Apart from this, Bhagalpur Muzaffarpur Intercity Express train is also being allowed to cross, while workers along with railway officials have reached the spot for maintenance work.
According to the information, the soil collapsed due to rain near the underpass bridge number 20 near Mahrana village of Jamalpur Kiul railway section. Due to the collapse of the soil, up and down trains were affected for an hour. Confirming this incident, Dharhara station master Lalit Kumar said that due to rain, the soil has collapsed near the underpass bridge, due to which the up and down lines have also collapsed slightly. At the same time, rescue work has been started at the spot.
