Problem of tripping since late night, people troubled due to heat

New Delhi. With increasing heat, electricity consumption has also increased. In such a situation, even though the electricity distribution company is claiming that the peak demand is being met, the number of electricity trips in Delhi is continuously increasing. Especially in the Tata Power area of North Delhi, there was a lot of tripping from late Friday night to Saturday morning. People had to face problems due to the heat. There was a possibility of AC, cooler and bulb getting damaged due to power tripping.
The demand for electricity in Delhi has once again reached a record level. The maximum demand reached 6987 MW. According to the data, this demand was recorded late on Friday at 23:25. At 3:40 pm on Saturday, it was 6898 MW, which is the highest electricity demand so far in the first 18 days of May. Last year, the maximum demand in the first 16 days of May was 5781 MW. Apart from this, the maximum electricity demand on May 16 was recorded at 6789 MW at 3:26 pm. The demand for electricity increases due to the use of more number of air conditioning, coolers.
