Apple Recipe: Many times it happens that one does not feel like eating something heavy. Like Idli, Dosa, Sambar, Vada, what can be more light, healthy and tasty than all these. But if you are bored of eating these, then today we have brought for you the recipe of Appe which is very easy to make at home and gets ready in no time. So let’s know about it
Ingredients to make Appe:
½ cup semolina
½ cup curd
a cup of water
salt as per taste
a pinch of baking soda
2 tbsp mustard oil
1 green chilli, chopped
8-10 curry leaves
teaspoon mustard
1 small onion, chopped
1 inch ginger, grated
2-3 tbsp coriander, chopped
Method to make Appe:
,Prepare the batter by adding rava and curd in a bowl. Beat the mixture well so that there are no lumps in the solution.
,After this add water to the solution, mix well and then add salt.
,Then add baking soda to it, and let the batter set for at least 20 minutes.
,Meanwhile, heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add mustard seeds once the oil is hot enough. Add green chilli, curry leaves, onion and ginger.
,Immediately add it to the Rava Appe batter and mix well. Also add green coriander and mix.
,Then, in an appam patra, add some oil and when the oil becomes hot, add 1 tablespoon of the batter.
,Cover it and let it cook on low flame for 2 minutes or till it turns golden brown from below. When the lower part becomes golden brown, turn the appe.
,Let the appe cook from the other side also for 1-2 minutes.
After the appe is cooked, serve it hot with peanut chutney or tomato chutney.
