Deepika said in this conversation- Before coming to Mumbai, I have struggled a lot in Delhi. Since 2005, I was trying to make my mark in the industry and in 2011 I got my first break. During this period I did theatre, did a lot of acting workshops. One of my gurus was Pankaj ji, he taught me one thing that an actor never feels shy. He has no fear, when he performs street plays he acts openly in front of everyone. Whenever I have presented myself on social media, I have presented myself as an actor. For me, my acting was in dance also.
Deepika further said- Whenever I share a post on social media, I think like the actor of my street play. If someone doesn’t like my dance, that’s their point of view. It doesn’t matter to me. I don’t take people’s bitter words seriously. But it feels good to see that people are taking me seriously.
