12 huts were burnt to ashes in a fire in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh. Agricultural equipment and turrets kept in the burnt non-residential huts were also burnt. On receiving the information, revenue personnel reached the spot and assessed the damage. Villagers and fire personnel put out the fire with great difficulty. The cause of the fire could not be known.

The incident is from Bahoranpur village of Patiyali development block area. On Sunday, the straw stack of Satish of the village caught fire. The flames of the fire also set the nearby stacks on fire. The fire also engulfed the huts of Ram Senhi, Ram, Kishan, Puttu Lal, Grees, Yashveer Singh, Jagdish, Awadhesh, Virendra, Ashok Kumar, Dinesh, Nekse Lal of the village. There was screaming and shouting among the villagers.

The villagers started efforts to extinguish the fire. Police and fire brigade were also informed. Fire brigade and fire personnel also reached on the information. Villagers and fire personnel worked hard to extinguish the fire. Pump sets installed in the fields were operated for water. CFO RK Tiwari said that the fire personnel controlled the fire in about 2.30 hours with great effort. Villagers also helped in this.

Sub-district magistrate Kuldeep Singh was informed about the fire. He sent Naib Tehsildar Mukesh Kumar along with the revenue team to the spot to assess the damage. Sub-district magistrate Kuldeep Singh said that the fire-affected family will be helped as per the rules.
