Rohini District Police has claimed to have solved the case of sensational robbery at the house of a retired DRDO scientist in Prashant Vihar area. Police have arrested two accused, including a former employee of the scientist’s son. The former employee had informed the miscreants about the presence of cash and jewelery in the house.

During the investigation of the incident, the police examined the CCTV cameras around the incident site. The suspects were seen in CCTV footage. The police reached Karol Bagh after checking more than a hundred CCTV cameras in the direction of the escape of the miscreants and arrested Jasmin Singh, a miscreant living in Karol Bagh. After this, the police arrested his former employee Gaurav Kawatra, resident of Noida UP, on the spot of the miscreant.

Police froze Rs 10.15 lakh in cash and Rs 2.89 lakh deposited in his bank account from his possession. Also a mobile phone worth Rs 1.38 lakh has been recovered. On October 18, five boys posing as courier boys forcibly entered his house and committed the crime. The miscreants had taken away Rs 2 crore cash and 260 grams of gold from the house. The police is conducting raids to arrest other criminals involved in the crime.
