Police has sent 33 accused to jail so far

In the case of assault, vandalism and riot by a community in Gausganj village of Shahi police station area of Bareilly, the police have registered a case against 65 people including 50 named ones. Apart from this, SO Amit Kumar has registered a case against 75 accused. Out of these, 33 accused were sent to jail on Saturday. Shahi police arrested two more accused in an encounter on Saturday night. One accused Alamgir has been shot.
The second accused Nizakat Ali was arrested with a pistol. Both the accused are residents of Gausganj. The encounter took place in the jungle of Biharipur at around 1 am. A head constable Nafees Ahmed was also injured in this. Meanwhile, the condition of Tejram, who was seriously injured in the riot on Friday night, remains critical. He is undergoing treatment on a ventilator in Ram Murti Hospital.
