Taking notice of the murder incident of Vikas Kumar (20) of the same village, the police arrested two friends involved in the murder on Thursday, the day of Diwali. In the case, the police have also recovered a country-made pistol and a live cartridge used in the murder.

Daudnagar sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Kumar Rishiraj told a press conference at Daudnagar police station that the police had formed three teams to investigate the Vikas murder case. The case was being thoroughly investigated by Daudnagar Police Station Head Police Inspector Faheem Azad Khan.

A separate team under the leadership of Police Sub Inspector Ram Iqbal Yadav of the District Intelligence Unit was cooperating in the investigation of the case. In this case, on the statement of Durga Chaudhary, resident of Chauri, father of the deceased, Late Chauri resident of Daudnagar police station area. An FIR was registered against Prince Kumar, son of Sudev Yadav, for shooting him dead and throwing the body in Ahra under a Peepal tree in Lorhiya Baghar.

In the same case, FIR accused Prince Kumar was arrested from his hallway. Also, on his information, the primary accused in the case, Ranjan Kumar, son of Gulender Chaudhary, resident of Chauri, was arrested.

After their arrest, both the accused confessed to the police about their involvement in the murder. SDPO told that Vikas and accused Prince Kumar used to commit theft together. A few days ago, Vikas had also gone to jail in a theft case. After his arrest, he had also taken the name of Prince in his confession statement before the police. There was a rift between the two regarding this matter.

The arrested accused Ranjan is Vikas’s cousin, whom Vikas had once seen with his sister. There was tension between Ranjan and Vikas regarding this also. Two days ago, on the day of the incident, Prince and Ranjan made a plan to take Vikas to a field somewhere and kill him.

All three arrived together, where Vikas was shot dead. The weapon with which the murder was committed has also been recovered at the behest of Prince. The police raid team included Daudnagar police station incharge Faheem Azad Khan, Sub Inspector Anil Kumar, PSI Abhishek Kumar, Aditya Kumar and the team of District Information Unit.
