During this both the friends were coming talking to each other. During those conversations, he also mentioned to his friend about two gold bangles weighing 670 gms worth 30 lakhs kept in his bag, which was overheard by the auto driver. After reaching home, as soon as both got down from the auto and took their bags, before that the auto driver started the auto and fled from there. During this, that special bag of the businessman remained kept in the auto. Rajesh Prem ji immediately informed about this incident to Ghatkopar police station.

During the investigation, almost all the CCTV footage from Mumbai airport to Ghatkopar was scrutinized, then information about the auto was found. After that, the police obtained information about the driver from the auto owner, from which the auto driver was identified as Nandkishore Yadav and Shravan Kumar, residents of Lahthara village of Sono police station area. As soon as the identification was made, the Mumbai Police contacted Jamui SP Dr. Shaurya Suman and on his instructions, Sono Police Station SHO Chittaranjan Kumar along with the Armed Forces team and the Mumbai Police team raided Lahthara village. During the raid, both the accused were arrested by the police, from whom a gold bangle of 335 grams, cash of 9 lakhs, a stolen bag of 800 rupees and a Vibho phone worth 5 thousand were recovered. The total cost of all these has been said to be around 24 lakh 35 thousand 800 rupees.
