Gandhipark police with the help of NCB Lucknow have arrested two drug smugglers who brought charas from Uttarakhand and supplied it in the district. Three kilos of hashish worth Rs 15 lakh in the international market has been recovered from both of them. Both have been arrested from Gandhipark bus stand.
According to the police spokesperson, NCB Lucknow team reached here on the basis of input and with the help of Gandhipark police arrested two people from Gandhipark bus stand. Three kilos of hashish were recovered from Neeraj of Ghudiyaba Delhi Gate and Neeraj Gupta of Jalalpur Rorawar. Its wholesale price in the Indian market is Rs 1.5 lakh per kg and in the international market it is Rs 5 lakh per kg. Both of them admitted during interrogation that they bring goods from Uttarakhand and sell them to some retailers in the district.
According to NCB, earlier Neeraj Gupta was arrested in Shikohabad with four and a half kilos of hashish. After coming out on bail from there, he was undergoing recce. He has been caught in this sequence. SSI Gandhipark Sushil Kumar, NCB in-charge Shubham Mishra and both teams were included in this arrest team.
