Two people “talked” through dreams, scientists made amazing claim, the technology can be used in many places

Can two people talk to each other in dreams? You may think this is a fantasy like a story from a movie, but the reality is that it is possible in real life. Yes, they have made it possible for two people to “talk” to each other while dreaming. American startup REMspace company says that it can have many uses like helping mental health and teaching new skills. Scientists are definitely excited by their success. The company says that it can turn into a big industry.

Use of special equipment and techniques
This experiment looks like a scene from the movie ‘Inception’. The startup designs technology to enhance sleep and lucid dreaming. Raduga, a well-known figure in the field of lucid dreaming, conducted an experiment to obtain dream communications. Raduga is also known for attempting to implant a microchip in his brain to control his dreams. The company used ‘specially designed equipment’ which included a ‘server’, a ‘device’, ‘WiFi’ and ‘sensors’. But he did not reveal the exact technique used.

It can be used in many places
REMspace said that this technology has not yet been reviewed or replicated by scientists. But if it is validated, it will prove to be a major milestone for sleep research. It can provide applications for mental health treatment, skills training and more. The company claimed REMspace used ‘specially designed equipment’ to allow two individuals to successfully exchange a simple message while lucid dreaming.

in a special dream state
Lucid dreaming occurs when a person, while in the dream state, still knows that he is dreaming. This allows them to take self-directed actions in their dreams rather than randomly interacting with the ‘dream world’ without any sense of control. This phenomenon occurs during REM sleep, or rapid eye movement sleep, when dreams typically occur.

brain tracking
REMspace did not reveal what equipment was used in their experiment, but said that the experiment involved a ‘device’ that tracked participants’ brain waves and other biological data during the experiment. It also included a ‘server’ that could detect when participants entered a lucid dream.

How was the experiment done?,
Once the server detected that a participant had entered a lucid dream, it played a random word from a particular language and transmitted it to him through the earbuds. The participant then repeated this word in his dream. After which that response was captured and stored in the server. Eight minutes later, the second participant entered a lucid dream. The server sent the stored message from the first participant to him, which he repeated when he woke up.

REMspace was able to repeat this experiment with another pair of participants. But before the company can say with certainty that they have achieved communication in dreams, the study must undergo rigorous review. Raduga, 40, is confident about his results, saying: ‘We believe that REM sleep and its related phenomena, such as lucid dreaming, will become the next big industry after AI.’
