In metro cities, if we or our family have to go from one place to another, then we all use app-based cabs like Uber, Ola etc. After metro, this option is used a lot. If you travel frequently with Uber then there is a good news for you. Actually, the company is going to bring a feature called Uber Flex in metro cities also in the coming time.
What is Uber Flex?
Uber’s Uber Flex feature is already available in Tier 2 and 3 cities. Under this feature, the company gives people the option to decide the price of their ride themselves. That means you can decide the amount of your journey yourself. Just as this currently happens in Indrive, the same will soon happen in Uber too. The company started the Uber Flex feature in October last year. However, at that time it was available only in Tier 2 and 3 cities. Now the company is bringing this service to the people of metro cities also.
Earlier, Uber started this service only for cabs, which was later extended to autos also. After the addition of the new feature, you will get a new option called Go Flex while booking a ride in the app. After clicking on it, a reasonable amount of travel will appear on the screen which you can increase or reduce later. Note, the Flex feature will be available only for certain Uber services in a city. That means you will not get this option in cabs, autos, premium, rentals etc. Also, you can pay for the ride in both cash and digital ways like before.
Let us tell you, apart from India, Uber is also testing this feature in the markets of Lebanon, Kenya and Latin America.
