Some time ago Babar Azam told in an interview, “I had asked my cousin to lend me joggers, but he refused saying that he did not have them. I realized that I had said something which I should not have said. I should not have asked for the shoes in the first place.”
Reacting to this talk of Babar Azam, Umar Akmal had said, “I do not know which of our cousins refused to give shoes to Babar Azam. We have always supported those relatives who wanted to play cricket. I have never declined a request. People who are close to me know this very well.
