Under the new law Kuwait will expel 1 lakh illegal foreign immigrants from the country

Kuwait News: The Kuwait government is continuously taking strict measures against illegal foreigners. Kuwait expelled 42,000 expatriates last year for violating the country’s residency and labor laws and other matters.

Kuwait has decided to send back about one lakh people living illegally. The Kuwaiti government on Sunday halted a short-term fine-waiver scheme. It has also been decided to expel illegal immigrants living in the country. This will also affect Kuwaiti individuals and companies that employ illegal foreigners.

People were living under this rule- report
According to a report, the Kuwait government had allowed illegal immigrants who came to the country before the year 2020 to stay after paying fines. But the government had kept the order short-term, now this short-term order has been stopped. About 1,10,000 foreigners living illegally in the country would have benefited from this system, but now such people are facing a problem.

Kuwait’s Interior Ministry is moving forward with its plan to deport those who violate residency rules. Kuwait has recently taken tough measures against illegal foreign residents, warning that any expatriate found to be hiding an illegal resident will also be deported.

Kuwaiti individuals or companies employing illegal immigrants will face charges of illegally harboring and concealing illegal immigrants.

Most of Kuwait’s population is made up of foreigners – report
Kuwaiti newspaper Al Anba, citing instructions from the Interior Ministry, reported that the government has stopped the implementation of the order which was issued a few days ago. The number of illegal people benefiting from this system reached approximately 1,10,000 foreigners.

The number of foreigners in Kuwait’s total population of 4.6 million is approximately 3.2 million. The country is attempting to address its population imbalance and replace foreign workers with its own citizens as part of a “Kuwaitization” employment policy. Recently the demand for curbing the employment of foreigners has increased in Kuwait.
