Saba Korosi India visit: United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) President Saba Korosi visited Anganwadi Centre, Rural Child Care Center in Karnataka. During this, he appreciated the community, the state government and UNICEF for providing essential services. He tweeted that he saw for the first time how help is being provided by the United Nations partnership with the government.
He said that during a visit to a primary health center in Kannur, Karnataka, it was seen that the United Nations, along with the government, has assisted in corona management through digital technical assistance and effective cold chain management of vaccines. Saba Korosi was on a three-day visit to India.

Korosi, who arrived in India on Sunday on a three-day visit at the invitation of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, reached Bengaluru on Monday and held talks with academicians from the Indian Institute of Science and representatives of civil society organisations. Regarding this, he tweeted that he visited the projects of water and health sector.

Before leaving for Karnataka, Korosi met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Had met and discussed the importance of conserving and optimizing global water resources. During the meeting, the Prime Minister reaffirmed India’s commitment to multilateralism, including the United Nations. Earlier, Korosi had appreciated India’s call for peace in Ukraine and across the world.

Korosi also stressed the need for reform in the size, structure and regulations of the Council. Later the President of UNGA met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. During this, the United Nations reform and Ukraine conflict were also discussed between the two. During this, global challenges, United Nations reform, Ukraine conflict and G20 agenda were discussed. Also assured India’s full support for reforming multilateralism.
