Budget 2023: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the last full budget of the Modi government. Sitharaman has also talked about helping the prisoners. Sitharaman said in the budget speech that financial assistance will be given to such poor people lodged in jails who are not in a position to pay the fine amount or bail.
He said that such prisoners who are poor and cannot pay fine or bail, who need financial help, will be given this help. Prime minister Narendra Modi In a program last year, he had said that priority should be given to such cases related to undertrial prisoners.
What happened in the budget?
Budget of 2023-24 Finance Minister made big announcements like what will be cheap and what will be expensive? Toys, cycles, automobiles, electronic vehicles will be cheaper. On the other hand, silver items coming from abroad will be expensive. Desi kitchen chimney will be expensive. Some mobile phones, camera lenses will be cheap. Cigarettes will be expensive. Along with this, the Finance Minister has also made big announcements for the women of the country in the budget.
He said that Mahila Samman Bachat Patra is being announced under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence and a new saving scheme will come for them. Along with this, he told that women will be able to deposit Rs 2 lakh under this scheme, on which they will get 7.5 percent interest.
Apart from this, Sitharaman told that the government is promoting coarse grains and is going to start Shri Anna Yojana. He said that an amount of Rs 2,200 crore has been allocated to increase horticulture production.
