Unique Cricket Rules If Bowler Or Fielding Team Does Not Appeal For Wicket What Would Happen Know Here

Unique Cricket Rules Wicket Appeal: With the increasing time the number of fans of cricket is increasing. Starting around the 16th century, there have been many changes in this game till now. Now many new rules and techniques have come in cricket. But still there are many such rules in cricket which sound somewhat strange. In the game of cricket, if a bowler gets the batsman out and he does not appeal for the out, then he will not be given out.

In the game of cricket, it is necessary for the bowler or the fielding team to appeal for any wicket. Unless the bowler or the fielding team appeals for the wicket, the umpire does not give the batsman out. It even happens that even after being declared out, if the bowler or the fielding team withdraws their appeal, then the batsman will be declared not out.

There have been many occasions in cricket history when the fielding team or the bowler has returned their appeal and the batsman has been given a not out. Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also done this. He had allowed the batsman to remain not out by withdrawing the appeal against England. Dhoni had withdrawn his appeal for English batsman Ian Bell.

Why did Dhoni withdraw the appeal?

In 2011, in the Test match played between India and England at Trent Bridge, England batsman Ian Bell was dismissed in a controversial manner. Bell played the shot and ran to take the run. During this, Indian fielder Praveen Kumar stopped the ball very close to the boundary. But Bell felt that he was hit and he did not complete his crease.

The fielder bowled the ball and wicketkeeper Dhoni, seeing Bell out of the crease, scattered the stumps. After this there was a tea break and this wicket was considered very bad. When Dhoni came to know the whole matter, he withdrew his appeal after coming back from the tea break and Ian Bell once again came to the crease to bat while not out.
