In Unnao district’s Krishnanagar Mohalla, a child fell from the roof of a house into a drain while trying to catch a kite. Unaware of the incident that happened on Tuesday evening, the family kept looking for him till 8 pm. On Wednesday morning, his body was found in the drain behind the house. Radha Singh, wife of Vineet Singh, a resident of Malasa village of Bhognipur police station in Kanpur Dehat district, lives on rent in the house of teacher Jang Bahadur Singh in Krishnanagar Mohalla of Sadar Kotwali.
She is a Class IV employee in Ranishankar Sahay Inter College in the city. After her husband’s death, she got a job under the deceased dependent quota. Her daughter Shivani and son Krishna alias Utkarsh (7) also lived with her. Krishna was a student of Class I. According to neighbours, on Tuesday, Krishna was seen trying to catch cut kites on the second floor at 6 pm. He was seen jumping over the wall of the house and going to the neighbour’s terrace.
