Case one- Sukh Devi, a resident of Jawahar Nagar of Bilhaur block, had applied for old age pension in the year 2018. Till date, the application form is pending on the login of SDM and has not been accepted.
Case- two- Razzaq, a resident of Mukhtar Aneesh Nagar of Shivrajpur block, had applied for old age pension in the year 2018. The application is lying on the login of SDM and has not been investigated till date.
Case three- Teja, who lives in Vishnupuri in Kanpur city, had applied for old age pension in the year 2017. Till date, the application form has not been accepted. It is pending on the login of SDM Sadar.
The above cases are just a sample. Every day dozens of such elderly and women complainants are making rounds of the social welfare department and bank located in Vikas Bhawan. They are asking the departmental officials only one question that when will we get old age pension? But neither the officer nor the clerks sitting at the desk have the answer to this. According to 65-year-old Ayesha Begum, a resident of Bilhaur, she has a complaint of pain in her knees. She does not have money for medicine. She said she thought she would get pension.
I will buy medicines with money but five years have passed and I have not received my pension till date and I am getting treatment by taking loan. Every time the officers keep on delaying it by saying that verification will be done soon.
