Three wolves were caught

A wolf whose one leg is not working properly is so dangerous that it is pulling away the children from the lap of their mothers. The forest department has said that three wolves are still active, drones and tranquilizers are being used to catch them. However, the forest department team has not been able to achieve complete success so far.
What planning has been done to catch the wolves and why were they not caught?
32 teams have been deployed in the villages of Bahraich. These wolves are moving in a radius of about 35 kilometers. Due to this, surveillance is being done through drones. Senior officers are deployed on the spot. Amidst the continuous attacks, vigil is being kept throughout the night. The administration is going from village to village and appealing that people should be careful if they go out of their houses at night and if there is no electricity in the house, they should sleep on the roof. Not only this, the MLA of the area himself is going out in the streets of the village at night with a gun to fight the wolves.
Teams from five forest divisions are engaged in catching the man-eating wolves. These include teams from Harich, Katarniaghat Wildlife, Shravasti, Gonda and Barabanki. Even though the forest department has stated the number of wolves to be six, local people say that their number is two dozen. What is special about a wolf?
Wolves are known as pack animals. It has 42 teeth in its mouth. A wolf’s jaw is so strong that it can chew even the bones of its prey. Wolves live for 10 to 15 years. They can not only run at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour, but are also excellent swimmers. The wolves’ sense of smell is stronger than that of a detective dog. They can smell their prey from 1.5 km away.
The largest animal of the dog species is the wolf, which needs to eat 1.5 kg to 1.75 kg of meat in a day. But sometimes the wolf eats up to 4.5 kg of meat in a day. The wolf is called a social animal because it does not like to live alone. The pack of wolves can be from 2 to 30.
It is not that a wolf pack consists of all the wolves of the forest. Actually, a pack consists of a family of wolves. The pack is led by the parents. Sometimes, a pack consists of children of two generations. If any animal attacks a member of the pack, they are ready to die. This is the reason why even ferocious animals like lions avoid hunting wolves.
Why did the pack of wolves become man-eaters, what is the reason for the attack?
Wolves always hunt in packs, so they do not hesitate to attack even the biggest animals. But in Bahraich, UP, the story is completely the opposite. Here, not only is the wolf attacking alone, but he is also looking for innocent small children so that he does not face any problem in hunting. The dangerous thing is that according to the footprints of the wolf found by the forest department team, one wolf is not able to walk properly, that is, he has some problem in one of his legs and that is why instead of wild animals, he is targeting small children sleeping in the courtyard of the house.
It is easy for wolves to hunt in this area because this is a very poor area. The houses where the attacks have taken place either do not have doors or where there are some, people are sleeping in the courtyard and their children are also sleeping with them. These packs of wolves come stealthily and hide somewhere near the house and wait for the mother to move away from the child so that they can hunt. The nature of the wolf which is said to be followed has become very dangerous in the current circumstances.
If someone in a pack of wolves finds an easy way to hunt, then all the other wolves start following the same method. The same is happening in Bahraich. According to the forest department, there is a flood in the forest area and the wolves are feeling the lack of food and hence they have come towards the human settlements.
Why were the wolves not caught?
The biggest reason for the wolves not being caught is that there is a forest here, where they are hiding. It is also being said that they are hiding by making a cave somewhere on the edge of the fields or on the banks of the river. The more powerful the wolves are, the more clever they are. They change their strategy after seeing the situation and this is the reason why the administration is not able to catch the wolves even after using all its might.
What did the forest department say about wolf attacks?
Renu Singh, Chief Forest Conservator of Bahraich, says that there are frequent clashes between humans and wolves. But this time this conflict has reached a more dangerous level. It seems that the entire family of wolves has become man-eaters and is attacking people. So far three wolves have been caught and the rest will also be caught soon. The forest department team is also working to alert people.
