BJENI leader Satpal Kharagvanshi shot dead

Area Panchayat member Satpal Kharagvanshi (35) was shot dead while returning home from a birthday party. Police reached the spot and conducted investigation. The forensic team collected evidence at the scene. For security reasons, forces from four police stations have been called. The family members have filed a complaint against three people accusing them of murder.
The police have taken the three accused into custody and started questioning them. The deceased Satpal Kharagvanshi was a resident of Soharka village. He was also associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is survived by his wife Santosh Devi and two sons. According to family members, Satyapal Kharagvanshi had left the house at around five o’clock on Wednesday evening, saying that he was going to the farm.
After this he did not return. During this time Satpal Kharagvanshi had gone to the birthday party. When Satpal Kharagvanshi did not return home overnight, his family informed him about his disappearance in the temple in the early hours of Thursday. After some time, when the villagers went out of the village towards the pond, they found the bloody body of Satpal Kharagvanshi lying there.
He was shot below his temple. It is being speculated that he was murdered at midnight. As soon as the information about the murder of the area Panchayat member was received, a crowd of people gathered. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and investigated. For security reasons, forces of many police stations including Gajraula, Saidangali have been called.
ASP Rajeev Kumar Singh inspected the incident site. At the same time, on the instructions of SP Kunwar Anupam, the team of fingerprint experts collected evidence in detail. Later the police sent the body for post-mortem. ASP said that the family members have accused three people of murder. All three are being detained and interrogated. Further action will be taken after registering the report.
