Wood businessman murdered in Amroha

Wood businessman Shahzad alias Ika (40) was shot dead in Amroha over a dispute over money transaction. The deceased was a resident of Salempur village of Kanth police station area, while the incident was committed in Nauharan village of Dehat police station area. Police reached the spot and investigated. A case of murder has been registered against two people including one named in the case.
Police are making efforts to arrest the accused. Shahadat alias Eka was originally a resident of Umri village of Kand police station area of Moradabad district. Presently he lived in Salempur village with his wife and children. Apart from his wife Bhuri alias Yasmeen, he is survived by three sons and a daughter.
Shahadat alias Ika used to do wood business with Mohammad Yasin, a resident of Mohalla Nai Basti Idgah of Kanth. According to the allegation, Shahadat alias Ika had an old dispute with Shahzad, a resident of Umri village, regarding money transactions. Shahzad does glass work in Ahmedabad.
He keeps coming to the village. On January 26, there was a fight between Shahzad and Shahadat in Prophetpur village over money transaction. During this time, the local people pacified both of them. After this, at six o’clock on Saturday evening, Shahadat alias Ika along with his friend Mohammad Yasin had come to village Nohran of Amroha Dehat police station area to look for wood.
Then Shahzad along with his associates reached there from behind and shot Shahadat alias Ika. After this, Shahadat fell on the ground in an unconscious state and died on the spot. The accused fled from the spot after committing the incident. As soon as the information was received, Rural Police Station Head Prempal Singh and Crime Inspector Amrish Kumar Tyagi reached the spot.
On the instructions of SP Kunwar Anupam Singh, the team of fingerprint experts collected evidence. ASP Rajeev Kumar Singh and CO Anjali Kataria inspected the spot. After investigation, the police sent the body for post-mortem in the night itself. CO Anjali Kataria said that the deceased and the accused were originally residents of the same village.
A dispute regarding money transactions has come to light between the two. In this case, a case of murder has been registered against Shahzad and his unknown accomplice on the complaint of the deceased’s friend Mohammad Yasin. The accused will be arrested soon.
