Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme

In Uttar Pradesh, the government gives a total of 51 thousand rupees to poor destitute people for marriage under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme. This amount is not given in full at once. Under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, the government deposits 31 thousand rupees in the accounts of eligible poor brides after marriage.

Then out of the remaining money, 10 thousand rupees are spent on the other items used for the wedding. Then the remaining 6 thousand rupees are spent on decoration in the wedding ceremony. Let us tell you that the benefit of this scheme is given only to needy daughters.

Who is eligible for the scheme?

In Uttar Pradesh, under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, Rs 51,000 is given for marriage only to the daughters of those families whose parents are native residents of Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, to avail the benefits of this scheme, the annual income of the eligible family should not exceed Rs 2 lakh.

If someone belongs to the Scheduled Caste or OBC community, then to avail the benefits of the scheme, they have to submit their caste certificate as well. Under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme in Uttar Pradesh, the minimum age of the bride should be 18 years and the minimum age of the groom should be 21 years.

The scheme is also run in Madhya Pradesh

Let us tell you that not only in Uttar Pradesh but also in Madhya Pradesh, schemes are run to provide financial assistance for marriage to needy destitute people. Under the Mukhyamantri Kalyani Vivaah Sahayata Yojana in Madhya Pradesh, financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh is given for marriage.
