Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra reviewed the law and order with all Divisional Commissioners, DMs and senior police officers through video conferencing in connection with Eid, Ramnavmi, Ambedkar Jayanti and Chaitra Navratri festival and gave necessary guidelines. He said that no untoward incident should happen in the state during festivals. Comments and small rumors on any religion can spoil the atmosphere, hence special attention should be kept on this.
The Chief Secretary said in the review meeting held in his office at Lok Bhavan that a large number of devotees will come to Ayodhya during Ram Navami. Keeping this in mind, proper arrangements should be made for security and smooth traffic. Surveillance should be maintained through CCTV.
Programs will be organized in various temples of the state, hence special caution should be taken. Keep special vigil in sensitive areas. No religious event should be held by disrupting roads and traffic.
DGP Prashant Kumar said that no procession or religious procession should take place without due permission. Officials need to be sensitive regarding social media. Additional Chief Secretary Home Deepak Kumar, ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash, Secretary Home Dr. Sanjeev Gupta and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
