A day after the death of the girl in Rahara, a youth from the same village committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance. The youth took suicidal steps after the girl’s family lodged a complaint with the police. It is said that the girl’s family had held the young man responsible for the girl’s death.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem. The body of the 17-year-old daughter of a kiln worker was found in a wheat field in the village of Rahra police station area on Thursday morning. Family members and villagers had expressed fear of murder after rape. The police had sent the body for post-mortem.
The next day after this incident, on Friday, the body of a 20-year-old youth of the village was found lying in the forest. It is said that he died due to pesticide consumption. After the death of the girl, the family lodged a complaint with the police holding the deceased youth responsible for her death.
The police were investigating the matter. Meanwhile the young man took suicidal steps. It is said that the love affair between the girl and the young man was going on for the last several months. Both wanted to get married but the girl’s family were not happy with this relationship.
The young man belonged to another caste. Police have sent the body of the youth for post-mortem. At present no legal action has been taken. Police area officer Deep Kumar Pant says that the matter is said to be related to love affair. The body of the youth has been sent for post-mortem. No legal action has been taken yet.
