Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PM Matsya Sampada Yojana) is being run for the financial and technical help of the farmers in this work, under which 60 percent money is given to the farmers for fish farming.

Now the Yogi government has come up with a similar scheme for the farmers of Uttar Pradesh as well. The name is Mukhyamantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, whose objective is to motivate the farmers and fishermen of the state to build ponds and raise them in order to increase the effect of employment in the fisheries sector.

Establishment of 100 fish seed bank
To bring revolution in the field of fish farming, now the Uttar Pradesh government has also prepared a special plan. Under MNREGA, 100 fish seed banks will be set up in the gram sabhas where there is less improvement in the first year. After this, the target is to make 500 fish seed banks in the next 5 years at the second level. The main focus will be on providing good quality fish seeds from these fish banks.

There will also be two phases in this. In the first phase, allotment of ponds built on 500 hectares will be done in a year. In the second phase, the lease holders will be benefited from the ponds built in 2,500 hectares in the next 5 years.

how to get benefit
Beneficiaries will be selected at the district level under the Mukhyamantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. For supervision and monitoring of this scheme A district level committee will also be constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate, whose implementation will be done by the district level officer of the fisheries department as its member secretary.

This committee will later select the beneficiaries. A website will soon be created under the Chief Minister’s Fisheries Wealth Scheme, on which online applications will be invited. The only condition is that the lessee can take advantage of any one project.
