Bahujan Samaj Party on Wednesday expelled its candidate from Jhansi-Lalitpur Lok Sabha seat, Rakesh Kumar Kushwaha Barua, from the party on charges of indiscipline, just eight days after the announcement. Apart from this, District President Jaipal Ahirwar has also been removed and BK Gautam has been appointed as the new District President.

The announcement of eviction has been issued by the newly appointed District President in the evening. Kailashpal has been removed from the post of divisional in-charge and made the district in-charge of Lalitpur. The new candidate has not been announced yet. After a long wait, Bahujan Samaj Party had declared Rakesh Kushwaha Barua as its candidate from Jhansi-Lalitpur Lok Sabha seat on April 9.

This was announced by Bundelkhand Chief Coordinator Lala Ram Ahirwar in the workers conference. During this, both divisional in-charges Kailash Pal and BD Phule, District President Jaipal Ahirwar were present. On Wednesday evening, on behalf of BSP, District President BK Gautam issued a release announcing the expulsion of Rakesh Kushwaha Barua from the party.

The reason for expulsion has been cited as indiscipline and involvement in anti-party activities. In this regard, Bundelkhand Chief Coordinator Lala Ram Ahirwar said that along with the expulsion of Rakesh Kushwaha, District President Jaipal Ahirwar has been removed and BK Gautam has been made the District President.
