Expansion
If we look at the political history of the state, the Yadav vote bank was first with Congress and then with Jan Sangh. Then there was a rally with Chaudhary Charan Singh. After this, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s base became vote bank. To increase his political power, the wrestler of the political arena, Mulayam Singh Yadav prepared a big leader of his base vote bank in every district.
Along with saving the Aadhaar vote bank, he started other experiments. First included Muslims. Samajwadi Party brightened its politics with the alliance of M-Y (Muslim-Yadav). Mulayam did not stop here. He also started increasing the mobilization of other backward castes. But, the leaders of the general category were not allowed to be ignored. Through this strategy he either remained in power in some form or the other or played the role of a strong opposition.
According to the report of the Social Justice Committee of the year 2001, the Yadav population among the backward classes in the state is about 19.40 percent. Their unity is like a strong ground to work out the equations of power. But, the election results themselves show that now the situation has changed.
Mulayam Singh Yadav died on 10 October 2022 after the assembly elections. BJP awarded Padma Vibhushan to Mulayam Singh for cultivating the Yadav vote bank and increasing its penetration, while Mohan Yadav, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, was made the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Mohan Yadav has come to UP thrice.
