Cabinet Minister in Uttar Pradesh Government, Om Prakash Rajbhar has made serious allegations of extortion against Medanta Hospital. According to the minister, during the treatment of his mother, the hospital recovered Rs 04 lakh in four days, yet she did not even regain consciousness. After this his mother died on Thursday. Rajbhar has complained about this to Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak. On this, Deputy CM says that Om Prakash Rajbhar has given information about the matter by making a phone call. A complete investigation will be conducted.
The minister’s 79-year-old mother was admitted to Medanta on March 8 after suffering from uncontrolled diabetes, difficulty in breathing, low oxygen and high BP. Around Rs 4 lakh was charged for four days of treatment. Even after this, as his condition did not improve till March 15, he got his mother referred. He died on Thursday during treatment in another hospital.

Hospital administration claims, used to give information about treatment daily
After the minister’s statement, the hospital administration has issued its stand. In this, the allegations of negligence or wrong treatment have been denied. His mother was admitted to the emergency on March 8 with severe symptoms like uncontrolled diabetes, difficulty in breathing, low oxygen and high BP as well as pneumonia in both lungs. His treatment was started immediately. Family members were informed about his well-being daily. Discharged at 7:40 pm on March 15 at the request of the family.
