The direction of monsoon has changed in UP. In the coming days, clouds will move away from the capital Lucknow as well as the districts of Awadh. Along with Bundelkhand, there is a possibility of rain in some parts of the south of the state on Monday as well. For Monday, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas including Banda, Chitrakoot, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun etc.

According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, due to the low pressure area passing towards the south, the monsoon activity has reduced in the northern parts of the state.

On Sunday, Jhansi recorded 14.2 mm of rain, Orai 5 mm, Kanpur 3.6 mm, Aligarh 2.4 mm and Fatehgarh 2 mm.

Talking about the maximum temperature, Ayodhya and Meerut recorded the highest temperature of 35.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Prayagraj recorded 35.5 degrees and Gorakhpur and Najibabad recorded 34.4 degrees Celsius. Talking about the minimum temperature, Ghazipur recorded the lowest temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, Meerut recorded 24.6 degrees and Basti and Jhansi recorded 25 degrees Celsius.

Monsoon is sluggish in the capital at present

There were scattered clouds in the sky in the capital on Sunday but it did not rain. Due to the sunshine and slight increase in temperature during the day, people felt humid heat. According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, due to the low pressure area passing from the south, there is currently no rain in the capital and surrounding areas.

The activity of monsoon has slowed down. However, sporadic drizzle cannot be ruled out on Monday. On Sunday, the day temperature was 34.5 degrees Celsius with a rise of 1.1 degrees. The night temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius with a rise of 0.2 degrees.
