On the basis of inputs received during interrogation of the two terrorists arrested in Delhi, the Police Headquarters has instructed the police to remain in alert mode in the state as well. Especially on the occasion of the events to be held on 26 January, special vigilance has been asked. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to keep an eye on the people coming and going to other major religious places including Ayodhya, malls and crowded places along with the airport, railway and bus stations.
Let us tell you that two days ago the Special Cell of Delhi Police had arrested two terrorists Jagjit and Naushad from Jahangirpuri. Two hand grenades, three pistols and cartridges etc. were recovered from them. In the interrogation of the police, the plan of the terrorists to do a big incident on January 26 at many places in the country was revealed. On this basis, the UP Police has also instructed the state police to remain in alert mode.
On behalf of the police headquarters, the police captains of all the districts have been asked to keep a special watch on sensitive religious places along with thorough investigation of suspicious people at hotels, restaurants, malls and public places. Special instructions have been given to make concrete arrangements for the security of religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura.
On the other hand, the security system was tightened in Ayodhya on Monday. Checking campaign was conducted at various places in Ayodhya-Faizabad city. A thorough search was conducted of the vehicles entering the district. If needed, the identity cards of the suspects were also checked. At the same time, checking campaign was also conducted by GRP at Ayodhya and Cantt railway stations.
On Monday afternoon, police suddenly started checking at the entrance of Ayodhya including all the square-intersections of the city. People coming to Ayodhya and their vehicles were searched by the police at Udaya, Tedhi Bazar Square, Lata Mangeshkar Square and other entrances of Ayodhya. When considered necessary, the identity cards of the people traveling in the external vehicles were checked and their verification was also done. Ayodhya Kotwal Manoj Kumar Sharma was seen checking vehicles throughout the day at Nayaghat, Sahabganj outpost in-charge Avinash Singh at Udaya intersection.
At the same time GRP also looked alert. Station in-charge Surya Prakash Shukla and his team conducted an intensive search operation at Ayodhya Cantt railway station. During this, the luggage of the passengers was also checked. He appealed to the passengers to inform the GRP if any suspicious person or object is found in the train while travelling. CO City Shailendra Singh told that this is a routine campaign, daily checking campaign is conducted to make people feel safe.
