The STF has summoned the close family member of the thug Sanjay Rai Sherpuria and senior advocate of the Supreme Court for questioning by giving a notice. In the investigation, it has been confirmed that the senior Supreme Court advocate is a director in Sherpuria’s companies. Transactions worth crores of rupees have also come to the fore through these companies, due to which the STF is preparing to inquire and record the statement.
On the other hand, STF has also summoned industrialist Gaurav Dalmiya this week after giving a notice. He is to be questioned about giving Rs 6 crore to Sherpuria’s NGO. It is alleged that this amount was given to end the ED’s ongoing FEMA investigation against Gaurav Dalmiya.

Sherpuria had taken Rs 6 crore from Gaurav Dalmiya on the pretext of having links with several senior ED officials, which were later transferred to several bank accounts. On its complaint, the ED had frozen the accounts of Sherpuria’s NGO in the month of January. Later, on the information of intelligence agencies, STF arrested Sherpuria and his agent Kasif.
