Up News SP Alliance May Expand Before Loksabha Election 2024, Om Prakash Rajbhar And These Parties May Be Included

UP Politics: After the victory of Dimple Yadav in the Mainpuri parliamentary by-election and the rapprochement between Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav, dissidents and former allies of the Samajwadi Party have been sent to the state. Possibilities are once again visible in the main opposition party. There are also speculations that if the SP performs well in the local body elections in Uttar Pradesh, then before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, some non-BJP parties will rally behind the SP. May be.

While former Badaun MLA Abid Raza rejoined the party on Friday after Dimple’s landslide victory in the Mainpuri bypoll, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party president and former Uttar Pradesh minister Omprakash Rajbhar showed signs of softening his attitude towards the SP. Giving said, “If Shivpal Singh Yadav will take the initiative then we can have talks again with SP national president Akhilesh Yadav.”

Know what the experts say

Political analyst and teacher Vipin Bihari Srivastava said in a conversation with ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “The Mainpuri by-election and the solidarity of the Yadav family have given hope to those looking for a parallel future for the BJP and if the SP does well in the civic elections.” So for the Lok Sabha elections, the smaller parties will again be eager to join hands with the SP.” He said that the closeness of Akhilesh and Shivpal will have to pass the test of civic elections and after this election, the direction of 2024 Lok Sabha elections will also be decided.

Significantly, in the 2022 assembly elections, smaller parties like Subhaspa, Mahan Dal, Apna Dal (Camerawadi) and Janwadi Party (Socialist) contested under the SP-led alliance. Except Apna Dal (Camerawadi), all these parties had distanced themselves from SP after the assembly elections, but after SP’s victory in Mainpuri, there has been a stir in these parties once again.

Dimple Yadav’s victory increased stir

On October 10, 2022, Dimple defeated her nearest rival and BJP candidate Raghuraj Singh Shakya by more than 2.88 lakh votes in the by-election for the Mainpuri parliamentary seat, which was vacated by the death of SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Mulayam won the election from Mainpuri by a margin of about 90,000 votes. It is believed that the end of differences between Akhilesh and Shivpal and the solidarity of the Yadav family created an atmosphere in favor of the SP.

Om Prakash Rajbhar gave signs of softening

Political experts are claiming that if the unity of the Yadav family continues, then the SP will emerge as the main alternative to the BJP in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections. This is the reason why Rajbhar, who was an ally of the SP in the last assembly elections, has started looking for possibilities in the SP regarding the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. In this connection, when Rajbhar was talked to, he told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “Yes, of course! What’s the problem in talking? There is no quarrel between fields, who is enemy of whom in politics.

To emphasize his point, Rajbhar also cited the examples of alliance between Janata Dal United (JDU) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar, BJP and PDP in Kashmir, SP and BSP in Uttar Pradesh in 2019. Rajbhar claimed, “We will contest the civic elections on our own, but will definitely form an alliance with someone in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.” On being asked whether any SP leader has taken initiative to join hands with Subhaspa, he said that no one has taken any initiative yet.

Strategy will be decided after civic elections

Speculation is rife in political circles that leaders of small parties like Rajbhar will assess the SP’s position in the civic elections and decide their course for the 2024 elections based on the results. There is a possibility of issuing notification of municipal elections in UP very soon. Voting is to be held in 17 Municipal Corporations, 200 Nagar Palika Parishads and 545 Nagar Panchayats in the state for the selection of mayors, presidents and councilors.

Janwadi Party (Socialist) President Dr. Sanjay Chauhan was upset with the SP for not getting ticket in the Legislative Council elections held after the assembly elections, but now he has again joined the party. Dr. Chauhan, who contested the Lok Sabha elections from Chandauli on SP’s symbol in 2019, admitted in a conversation with ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “There was a slight distance from SP due to not getting a chance in the Legislative Council elections, but now we are Akhilesh ji. We are with the SP and will support the SP in the civic elections.” He said, “People are slowly getting bored with the BJP. I think SP will get decent success in 2024.

Keshav Dev Maurya also said this

Mahan Dal national president Keshav Dev Maurya told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “We (small parties) are not the main players and the main players (big parties) are not opening their cards yet. In such a situation, there is a lot of bickering about with whom we will go. On the possibilities of aligning with Akhilesh again, Maurya said, “Look, there are possibilities of alliance with BJP, Congress, BSP, not only with Akhilesh Yadav. When we cannot win even a single seat on our own, then we will definitely take the help of someone or the other. Now who will give support, it depends on them.

The leader of the Mahan Dal said, “Big parties have to take the initiative and if no one invites us then what will we do even if we are ready for an alliance.” He indicated that he was waiting for the opportunity. When asked about this, SP’s national secretary and chief spokesperson Rajendra Chowdhary said, “SP is the only alternative to BJP. Akhilesh ji is capable. People know this very well.” He expressed the hope that though it may be late, many people will join the SP. However, when Omprakash Rajbhar was asked about the prospects of an alliance, Chowdhary said that only Akhileshji would decide about them.
