UP Police Constable Exam 2024 Concludes: The UP Police recruitment exam is over. Yesterday, i.e. 31st August, was the second day of the second phase, the last day of the exam. In terms of the number of candidates, it is being called the world’s largest recruitment exam. About 48 lakh candidates had registered for the exam and about 32 lakh appeared for the exam. 16 lakh candidates decided not to appear in the exam and left the exam. Now the next phases of police recruitment will begin.

More than 50 candidates for one post

Till date, no recruitment exam has been conducted with such a large number of candidates. 48 lakh candidates had filled the form for more than 60 thousand posts but about 16 lakh have left the exam. In this situation, about 53 candidates are contenders for one post. Only time will tell who gets selected but the competition is tough.

Lakhs of policemen on duty

Strict monitoring and strictness was maintained in the conduct of this recruitment exam. Tight security arrangements were also made to avoid any lapse. According to media reports, about 2 lakh policemen did duty for the successful conduct of the exam. The exam was conducted under the surveillance of 16 thousand CCTV cameras in which every small and big activity was captured.

16 lakh students skipped the exam

This time UP Police Recruitment Exam was organized at 1174 centers in 67 districts. There were three levels of security at the centers and checking was so tight that no mistake could be made. After checking at the main gate, biometric checking and face recognition process was done. Documents were matched and checking was done again before entering the room.

At many centres, candidates were also made to remove their shoes and slippers. Even after the checking, the arrests continued. 62 people including three constables of UP Police were arrested. First the provisional answer key will be released, on which objections will be invited from the candidates. After considering the objections received on this, the final answer key will be released.
