As the Lok Sabha elections approached, there was a stir in the political circles. Now suddenly the murmur of alliance between BJP and RLD has increased the concern of the contenders. Not only this, distinct uneasiness is being seen among the leaders of SP and Congress also. In the past, the jugalbandhi between BJP and RLD has also blossomed, in such a situation it will be interesting to see which side the camel of the alliance will sit on.
The game of politics is full of confusion till the last moment. Till now it was believed that SP and RLD together will take on BJP in the elections, an agreement was also reached regarding seat distribution. At the same time, now the discussions about the alliance of RLD and BJP have made the contenders restless.
There is a possibility that if this alliance comes into force, this seat may go to RLD’s account. Due to which the contenders who have been preparing for a long time with the hope of getting a ticket from BJP have lost their sleep.
BJP won the seat in 2009
There was a tussle between RLD and BJP for a long time. RLD was continuously enjoying the support of SP. Recently, after the meeting of Jayant Chaudhary and Akhilesh Yadav, the matter of seven seats going to RLD’s account also came to light. After which there was a lot of discussion about Amroha seat, but suddenly a different picture has started emerging due to speculations about the alliance of BJP and RLD.
However, Amroha seat has proved favorable for RLD in alliance with BJP. After delimitation, in the 2009 elections, RLD BJP alliance candidate Devendra Nagpal defeated SP’s Mehboob Ali by a huge margin. In 2014, after separating from the BJP alliance, RLD could not even touch the figure of ten thousand votes here. Rakesh Tikait could get only 9537 votes from RLD.
