Now for Tuesday, the Meteorological Department has predicted moderate to heavy rain in Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor and surrounding areas of the state. According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, due to the monsoon trough shifting towards the south, the activity of monsoon has reduced in UP. However, good rain is occurring in central India. The monsoon trough is expected to return to its normal position in the next four to five days. On Monday, there was sporadic rain in some parts of Bundelkhand and Western UP. Jhansi recorded 10.2 mm, Agra 8.9 mm and Aligarh 3.6 mm rain.

Talking about the maximum day temperature in the state, Kanpur recorded 38.6 degrees, Prayagraj 37.1 degrees and Basti 37 degrees Celsius. At night, Muzaffarnagar recorded the lowest temperature of 21.8 degrees Celsius, Barabanki and Basti recorded 23.5 degrees and Ghazipur recorded 25 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of thunderstorm in most areas of western Uttar Pradesh for Tuesday. A warning of thunderstorm along with rain has been issued in Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Amroha, Bijnor, Rampur, Bareilly and surrounding areas.
