Swati dreamed of clearing UPSC despite her family’s financial condition. She focused all her attention on UPSC preparation. After passing 12th from a government school in Sholapur, she did her graduation and post graduation in Geography. During her college days, she started preparing for UPSC.

A mother’s dream of making her daughter an officer was much bigger than this poverty and helplessness. So she mortgaged her jewellery and did not let her daughter’s studies stop. The daughter also put in all her efforts to fulfill her mother’s hope and belief.

But the passion to fulfill her dreams was in Swati’s heart and mind. Then came the day when the results of UPSC 2023 came. When everyone saw the merit list, the happiness of the family knew no bounds. Swati’s name was in the list. She got 492nd rank in the exam this time. Hearing this news, tears came to the eyes of the whole family. Swati is an example for every candidate preparing for UPSC today. Her story tells that success is not dependent on any situation.
