It is often said that what has a bad beginning never ends well. But this notion was proved wrong by Dr. Anju Sharma, 1991 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre and currently Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture, with the help of her hard work, dedication and concentration towards the goal. p style="text-align: justify;">Dr. Anju, originally from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, failed in the 10th and 12th examinations due to her own mistakes. But she learned from those mistakes and improved herself and won medals in her first college. Then, at the age of just 22, she became an IAS by passing the Union Public Service Commission UPSC exam, which is considered one of the most difficult and prestigious exams in the country, in the first attempt. She believes that small successes do not last. Learning from these failures and adopting the right path with necessary changes and moving towards the goal definitely leads to success.
Dr. Anju, an IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, started her career in 1991 as Assistant Collector in Rajkot. After this, he served as collector and other important responsibilities in many districts including Gandhinagar. After this, she has reached the post of Special Secretary, then Secretary, Principal Secretary and now Additional Chief Secretary.
Did not give up even after failure
Anju had failed in the 10th pre board exam. Not only this, she could not pass the subject of Economics in the 12th examination. However, he refused to accept defeat in front of this failure and again took his studies seriously, removed his weaknesses and completed them with full focus, achieved gold medal and started preparing for UPSC by completing B.Sc. and MBA from Jaipur. And passed the UPSC exam in the first attempt at the age of 22.
No last minute, give the exam with full preparation
Anju says that no one should depend on last minute preparation to appear in the examination. This is because the risk is higher as there is less opportunity to revise along with preparation. Due to the success she got due to these mistakes of 10th and 12th, she made the right strategy for UPSC preparation and became an IAS top scorer.
