US passed a bill to ban TikTok: A big decision has been taken in America on the Chinese social media app TikTok. On Wednesday (13 March 2024), a proposal to ban this app was passed in the House of Representatives, the lower house there. Since then the Chinese government is in panic. The spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry there has lodged a strong protest.
Chinese spokesperson says that there is no truth that TikTok is a threat to American security. He was not able to compete healthy with us. In such a situation, this decision has been taken just out of anger.
Two options were presented to TikTok by the US House of Representatives. According to the first option, this social media app should be sold to them in the next 6 months. Otherwise they will ban it in America. He has chosen the second option.
Let us tell you that this is not the first case when a country has decided to ban the TikTok app due to security reasons. Before America, countries like India, European Union and Canada have banned this app citing security reasons.
Earlier, in the House of Representatives, American lawmakers presented the example of India and said that realizing the danger of this app, they had banned it in 2020 itself. We are still considering it here.
