Meanwhile, a relative of accused shooter Colt Gray told The Washington Post that Marcy Gray immediately called Apalachi High School and “urgently warned” the school staff about the emergency. Her sister Annie Brown and another student told The Washington Post that school officials tried to prevent the tragedy after Marcy Gray’s call.
On Wednesday (September 4), a few minutes before the firing, an administrator was searching for the attacker. For which he even went to his class, but he was not found there.
Police registered a murder case against father and son
Colt Gray, who studied at the school, immediately surrendered to the authorities. After which he was taken into custody. During this, the police said that he is being charged with murder as an adult. At least 30 people have been injured in the school shooting. Apart from this, the police have charged both the accused Colt and his father Colin Gray with murder. According to police officials, Colin had given his son the AR-15-style assault rifle used in the shooting as a gift on Christmas.
