The news is that a couple living in Dwarka died on Wednesday morning due to suffocation due to the smoke of the fireplace burning in their house. When the two-month old baby was heard crying, the neighbors came to know about the accident and then the police reached the spot. 

What is the whole matter

Investigation so far has revealed that the husband and wife were lighting the fireplace in the room. Only after which this accident must have happened. Both of them have a 2 month old child who has just been admitted to the ICU. Police have kept both the bodies in the mortuary for post-mortem. But the question arises that what could have happened that both of them suffocated in the smoke of the fireplace. Carbon monoxide level starts increasing from the fireplace

Experts in this matter say that a lot of coal and wood is used in the fireplace. Due to this, carbon monoxide and many other types of poisonous gases are released. If you burn coal in a closed room, the level of carbon monoxide increases while the level of oxygen starts decreasing. The effect of this carbon directly falls on the brain and starts spreading in the body. It can have a direct effect on the human brain due to which the person can even become unconscious. 

If you use blower, heater and fireplace, keep these things in mind

If you use the fireplace in winter, then take care of some special things. Always keep the windows open. 

If you use a fireplace inside the room in winter, then it is necessary to keep such a way in the house that the smoke must come out. 

Do not sleep near a burning fireplace.

If you sleep near a burning fireplace, keep a bucket of water nearby. Will be of great help in case of fire. 

Do not sleep on the ground after burning the fireplace

An asthma patient should not use the fireplace or heater excessively. 

If you use a heater, keep it at a safe place.
