Why did he drink poison

It is said that someone once poisoned Mahmud to kill him by deceit. After this, he decided that he would do experiments on his body in such a way that poison would never affect him. This is the reason that since childhood, he started drinking poison along with his food and became so poisonous that if a fly sat on it, it would die. As far as it has been said in history that if a woman used to have a relationship with that ruler, she too would have died. This is mentioned in the book ‘The Book of Durete Babosa Volume 1’ by the Portuguese traveler Babosa. He was very strong. This eccentric ruler used to eat up to 35 kg of food in a day. There were always things to eat next to the administrator’s bed and whenever he felt hungry, he used to eat something or the other. To look menacing, Mehmood had grown his beard and moustache. Even all the courtiers of his court used to dress like him. It is said that by breaking the shekhar of Kali Mata’s temple in Pavagadh, Gujarat, Mahmud had built the dargah of Pir Sadan Shah there. After last 500 years in this temple the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi hoisted the flag.
