Worship method of Utpana Ekadashi fast
A person observing this Ekadashi fast should not eat food a day before i.e. on the night of Dashami. On the day of Ekadashi, one should wake up early in the morning and take a resolution to fast after taking bath. After this, Lord Vishnu should be worshiped and flowers, water, incense, lamp and Akshat should be offered to him. It is considered best to offer only fruits on this day.
Lord Vishnu is worshiped on Utpanna Ekadashi. Those who do charity on this day never have to face any difficulty. One must donate grains on this auspicious day.
On this day, Lord Vishnu should be remembered in the afternoon and night. Jagran should be done after worship at night. Dwadashi should be passed the next day. Food and charity should be given to any needy person or Brahmin. After this, one should break the fast by taking food.
