18.31 lakh voters will decide the fate of 10 candidates in Pilibhit

The auspicious day has come to make sacrifice in the form of vote in the great festival of democracy. Voting has started in Pilibhit district from 7 am on Friday and will continue till 6 pm. Voting will be held for Pilibhit Lok Sabha seat in four districts of the district and in Baheri assembly constituency of Bareilly. There are about 18.31 lakh voters in the Lok Sabha constituency. Of these, more than 9.78 lakh are male and more than eight lakh are female voters. All the voters will decide the fate of 10 candidates. 1521 booths have been made for voting. Tight security arrangements have been made to conduct the voting peacefully.

Notice to ban 24,15,559 people due to fear of breach of peace

The Chief Electoral Officer said that in compliance with the instructions of the Election Commission of India, action is being taken by Police, Income Tax, Excise, Narcotics and other departments. For intensive checking, 513 inter-state check posts and 1853 check posts are operated within the state. From March 16 to April 17, 487 licensed weapons from criminal persons were seized. Licenses of 4280 licensed weapons were canceled and deposited. Banning notices have been sent to 24,15,559 people due to fear of breach of peace.

More than 2100 FIRs for violation of Loudspeaker Act

State Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa said that till now a total of 1,04,84,435 publicity materials have been removed from public and private places. In this, 63,50,390 publicity materials were brought down from public places and 41,34,045 from private places. So far, action has been taken in 1262 cases of misuse of beacon lights and flags in vehicles and 2191 cases of violation of the Loudspeaker Act. Similarly, action was taken in 5,47,431 cases of wallwriting, 18,90,212 of posters and 10,09,664 of banners and 6,86,738 other cases in private places. A report has been registered in a total of 76 cases, including 70 FIRs in connection with holding meetings and speeches without permission, distributing cash to woo voters, beacon lights in vehicles, misuse of flags and other cases, including 06 in NCR.

Bad EVM will be replaced in half an hour

During the polling period, BLOs have been instructed to remain present at the helpdesk with the Alphabetical Locator Voter List. They will help the voters. Voting percentage information will be updated to the media every two hours. If the EVM is faulty then it will not take more than half an hour to restart the voting.

Live webcasting of more than 7500 polling booths

Paramilitary forces will be deployed to protect the strong room. The location of the helicopter will be in Moradabad on 18-19 April and the location of the air ambulance will be in Bareilly on 19 April. Arrangements for live webcasting have been made at 50 percent polling places, which will be supervised at the level of District Election Officer, Chief Electoral Officer and Election Commission of India. Apart from this, videography will be done at 1510 polling booths.
